archeological discovery of a crucifixion victim, named Johanan ben Ha-galgol,
found near Jerusalem at Giv’at ha-Mivtar clearly demonstrates that crucifixion
victims were nailed through the wrists and feet. And it also demonstrates that
some victims were in fact buried in ossuaries. |
